Sump pump installation, replacement & battery backups

Keep the basement dry. We install, replace and back up sump pumps for homes and businesses across Cumberland and Salem County.

Signs your sump pump needs attention

  • Runs constantly, or turns on and off every few seconds
  • Water in the basement or a damp, musty smell
  • Loud grinding, rattling or humming
  • Doesn’t kick on when the pit fills
  • Rust, visible damage, or an old pump you’ve never checked
  • No backup if the power goes out in a storm

What we do

  • New sump pump installation, sized for your pit and the water you actually get
  • Sump pump replacement for pumps that are worn out, undersized or failing
  • Battery backup sump pumps that keep working when the power doesn’t
  • High-water alarms so you know about a problem before it’s a flood
  • Check valves and discharge lines fixed or replaced so water goes out and stays out

Why a backup matters here

Heavy rain and power outages tend to show up together. A battery backup pump gives you a second line of defense when your main pump can’t keep up, or can’t run at all. We’ll walk you through the options and help you choose what fits your home and budget.

Common questions

Do I need a battery backup sump pump?

If your primary pump loses power or fails during a storm, a battery backup pump can keep running and buy you time. If your basement has ever taken on water, or you’d be in trouble if it did, a backup is worth talking about.

Should I repair or replace my sump pump?

It depends on the pump’s age, what failed, and whether it’s the right size for your pit. We’ll look at it and tell you honestly which makes more sense.

My sump pump runs all the time. Is that bad?

It can mean a stuck float switch, a failed check valve letting water fall back into the pit, or a pump that’s too small for the water coming in. Any of these can wear a pump out early, so it’s worth a call.
